Emergency Contraceptive Pill (Morning After Pill)
Your pharmacists are trained to assess whether the ECP is appropriate for you. This is done in a confidential manner. The ECP works best if taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex but may be taken up to 72 hours after. We provide FREE ECP counselling and medication to under 25 years old.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Urinary Tract Infections are a common condition, which typically affect women. Symptoms may include pain and a burning sensation when urinating, nausea and vomiting, pain in the lower back or sides, and even blood in the urine. If left untreated, UTIs can lead to serious complications, so it’s important to discuss any concerns with us once they arise. Our pharmacy has trained pharmacists who can supply the antibiotic, trimethoprim, for women aged between 16 and 65 who have an uncomplicated urinary tract infection. A consultation fee applies for this service.
Oral Contraceptive
Our specially trained pharmacists can supply oral contraceptives without a prescription to women who have previously been prescribed the same oral contraceptive within the last three years. Note: Only selected oral contraceptive medicines can be supplied by a pharmacist without a prescription from the GP. Other criteria may apply. A consultation fee applies for this service.
