Medicine Management Service
For patients who have trouble managing their medicines or remembering when to take them, we offer Medico Pak compliance packing. We can organise your medicines into calendar packs so that you take the right medicine in the right dose, at the right time. Perfect for travelling. Ask us about our medicine management service the next time you bring in a prescription, or prior to your next scheduled repeat.
Long-Term Conditions (LTC) Service
This service is designed for people with long-term illnesses who may need support with their medicines. An assessment is used to identify the things that affect their ability to take medication as prescribed. Pharmacists work together with the patient to address each issue. The pharmacist is able to assist you with managing your medications and can coordinate your medications so that your prescription repeats happen all at the same time and therefore require only one trip to have your prescriptions refilled. They can also provide you with a reminder service to let you know when your next supply of medications is ready for collection. If you are having difficulties managing your medicines (e.g. forgetting to take them). Clozapine Dispensing
This pharmacy has been registered to dispense clozapine. It is very important that you receive regular blood tests while you are taking clozapine. We will check your blood tests to make sure the appropriate dose of clozapine is dispensed for you.
Methadone Dispensing
This pharmacy works alongside the DHB methadone programme. Pharmacists can administer methadone on a daily, or a takeaway basis, depending on what has been agreed.
Maviret - Hepatitis C Treatment
This pharmacy has been registered to dispense Maviret (glecaprevir and pibrentasvir) for the treatment of Hep C and to provide you with counselling to support your treatment. You will not have to pay any pharmacy charges for your Maviret.
Melatonin
Do you have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up early? Our accredited pharmacists can provide melatonin to adults aged 55 years or older who have difficulty sleeping. Please contact us to have a sleep consultation with one of our pharmacists to see if melatonin would be an appropriate treatment for your needs. A consultation fee applies for this service.
Pre-Medication Assessment for Medication Oversight (MO)
This pharmacy has been registered to provide Medication Oversight assessments. This service is via referral from Disability Support Link (DSL) and is for eligible patients who have been identified as requiring Medication Oversight.
Oral Anti-Coagulant Education (Warfarin, Dabigatran, Rivaroxaban)
This pharmacy has been registered to provide FREE oral anticoagulant medicine information for patients initiated on a Warfarin, Dabigatran or Rivaroxaban. Please talk to one of our pharmacists for more information.
Childhood Asthma Management
This pharmacy has been registered to provide FREE asthma management service to children (between 4-11 years) with diagnosed asthma. Please talk to one of our pharmacists for more information.
Methotrexate Education
